Managing Passed Loved One's Digital Assets
It is never fun when a family member or loved one passes. You are pulled in a million directions while going through your own grief. As you work on freezing bank accounts, cleaning out the home, and preparing funeral plans, it is important to take a moment and make sure all of their digital assets have been taken care of. When digital information is out their for someone who has passed, scammers will dig to find whatever information they can and will use it to open bank accounts or lines of credit or impersonate insurance companies or the passed family member to get money. If you do not actively monitor their information, you can quickly become the victim of a scam or two.
