Apples in Two Ways!

Ingredients

  • 2 - 40-ounces cans of Apple Pie Filling **can substitute below
  • 3 T of Heavy Cream or 1/2 and 1/2
  • 1 box of Yellow Cake Mix
  • 1 c Butter, melted
  • 1 c Pecans, chopped
  • 3 T Brown Sugar
  • Ice Cream for Topping - optional

Preheat oven to 350 degrees, spray 9x13 pan

  • Layer Apple Pie filling in bottom on pan
  • Drizzle over the heavy cream
  • Sprinkle over the cake mix
  • Drizzle over the melted butter
  • Mix pecans and brown sugar, sprinkle over

Bake for 40 minutes until lightly browned.
Serve warm with ice cream and enjoy!

**Baked Cinnamon Apples

If you want that amazing smell and have the time to kick this recipe up a notch, use your own baked apples in place of the apple pie filling. Or, enjoy on their own!

Ingredients

  • 5 pounds of crisp Apples, peeled and sliced thin (Honeycrisp, Gala, etc.)
  • 2/3 c Brown Sugar
  • 2/3 c Sugar
  • 1 T Cinnamon
  • 1/2 t Salt
  • 2 t Vanilla
  • 1/4 c Cornstarch
  • 1/4 c Butter

Place all in slow cooker and cook on high for approximately 2 hours until tender, but no mushy and sauce thickened. Stir once or twice during cooking.
