Apples in Two Ways!

Ingredients
- 2 - 40-ounces cans of Apple Pie Filling **can substitute below
- 3 T of Heavy Cream or 1/2 and 1/2
- 1 box of Yellow Cake Mix
- 1 c Butter, melted
- 1 c Pecans, chopped
- 3 T Brown Sugar
- Ice Cream for Topping - optional
Preheat oven to 350 degrees, spray 9x13 pan
- Layer Apple Pie filling in bottom on pan
- Drizzle over the heavy cream
- Sprinkle over the cake mix
- Drizzle over the melted butter
- Mix pecans and brown sugar, sprinkle over
Bake for 40 minutes until lightly browned.
Serve warm with ice cream and enjoy!
**Baked Cinnamon Apples
If you want that amazing smell and have the time to kick this recipe up a notch, use your own baked apples in place of the apple pie filling. Or, enjoy on their own!
Ingredients
- 5 pounds of crisp Apples, peeled and sliced thin (Honeycrisp, Gala, etc.)
- 2/3 c Brown Sugar
- 2/3 c Sugar
- 1 T Cinnamon
- 1/2 t Salt
- 2 t Vanilla
- 1/4 c Cornstarch
- 1/4 c Butter
Place all in slow cooker and cook on high for approximately 2 hours until tender, but no mushy and sauce thickened. Stir once or twice during cooking.
