Beer Bread & Beer Dip
Plain or Jalapeno Cheddar Breads – both recipes here!
Plain Beer Bread
- 3 c Flour
- 3 T Sugar
- 1 T Baking Powder
- 1 t Salt
- 12 ounce Beer
- 1/4 c Butter, melted
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 8x4” bread pan.
Assemble
- Whisk dry ingredients together in medium sized bowl
- Pour in beer and mix well using a wooden spoon
- Place in pan
- Melt Butter and pour over
Bake 50 – 60 minutes until top is brown. Remove from oven, cool for 10 minutes and transfer to wire rack to finish cooling.
Jalapeno Cheese Beer Bread Modification -
- Same recipe as above adding -
- 1 t garlic powder
- 1 t onion powder
- 1/3 c Pickled Jalapenos – drained and dried on paper towel – I diced mine
- 1 1/2 c shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese
Add the onion & garlic powder to the dry ingredients and jalapenos and cheese at the same time as the beer. Bake as directed.
Beer Dip
Ingredients
- 2 - 8 ounce packages Cream Cheese – softened
- 2 c shredded Cheddar Cheese (extra for topping)
- 1/3 c Beer (regular or non-alcoholic)
- 1 envelope Ranch Dressing Mix
Mix all ingredients together using mix master or hand mixer until smooth. Place in bowl and sprinkle extra cheese on top.
