Maple Cookies

Maple Cookies

Cookie Ingredients

  • 1/2 c Butter, room temperature
  • 1/2 c Sugar
  • 1/4 c Maple Syrup
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 t Vanilla
  • 2 c Flour
  • 1 t Baking Powder
  • 1/4 t Salt

Icing Ingredients

  • 1 c Powder Sugar
  • 3 T Maple Syrup
  • 1 T Milk – (I omitted milk and used all Maple Syrup for a more intense flavor)
  • Pinch of Salt

Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line baking sheets with parchment paper

Assembly

  • Cream Butter and Sugar until light and fluffy
  • Add Maple Syrup, Egg, Vanilla – beat until well combined
  • Mix Flour, Baking Powder, Salt – gradually add to above ingredients until a dough forms

Bake

  • Roll into tablespoon size balls, place two inches apart on baking sheet and press with back of spoon to make an indentation.
  • Makes 32 cookies
  • Bake for 11-12 minutes or until lightly brown.
  • Cool on pan for 5 minutes and transfer to cooling rack

Ice

  • When cool, blend all icing ingredients until smooth and drizzle on cookies.
