Maple Cookies

Cookie Ingredients
- 1/2 c Butter, room temperature
- 1/2 c Sugar
- 1/4 c Maple Syrup
- 1 Egg
- 1 t Vanilla
- 2 c Flour
- 1 t Baking Powder
- 1/4 t Salt
Icing Ingredients
- 1 c Powder Sugar
- 3 T Maple Syrup
- 1 T Milk – (I omitted milk and used all Maple Syrup for a more intense flavor)
- Pinch of Salt
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line baking sheets with parchment paper
Assembly
- Cream Butter and Sugar until light and fluffy
- Add Maple Syrup, Egg, Vanilla – beat until well combined
- Mix Flour, Baking Powder, Salt – gradually add to above ingredients until a dough forms
Bake
- Roll into tablespoon size balls, place two inches apart on baking sheet and press with back of spoon to make an indentation.
- Makes 32 cookies
- Bake for 11-12 minutes or until lightly brown.
- Cool on pan for 5 minutes and transfer to cooling rack
Ice
- When cool, blend all icing ingredients until smooth and drizzle on cookies.
