Scotch-A-Roos
This recipe shows up at every family function and as you can tell from the picture, it is definitely loved and made often.
- 1/2 c Sugar
- 1/2 c White Karo Syrup
- 3/4 c Peanut Butter
- 3 c Rice Krispies
- 1/2 c Chocolate Chips
- 1/2 c Butterscotch Chips
- Butter or Spray 8 x 8 pan (double recipe for 9 x 13)
- Mix Sugars and Syrup together in saucepan
- Stir over low hear until sugar is dissolved
- Remove from heat
- Add in Peanut Butter
- Stir until well blended
- Add in Rice Krispies
- Mix gently but firmly
- Put in the pan - press into place
- Place Chips in microwave safe container
- Heat 1 minute, remove, stir, repeat until melted
- Pour over the bars and spread evenly
