Support from Waldo: A Letter From President Reil
To all of our Waldo State Bank Customers,
I wanted to write and share how Waldo State Bank is navigating these unprecedented times to continue serving you with the unmatched service and care we are so proud to provide you. The safety of our customers and employees is our number one priority. While we miss the warm conversations and smiling faces in our lobby every day, we want to assure you we’re still here and committed to serving you with uncompromised dedication, even from a safe social distance.
To this end, we have increased our team members in the drive-thru to serve you more efficiently as well as continuing to offer our full suite of online and remote banking services. We continue to provide safe and convenient banking with comprehensive services, including online banking through our website and on mobile through our app, free ATM access, phone banking, and debit cards with a Tap-n-Pay feature.
Lending staff is also ready to assist you in navigating these uncertain times with everything from mortgage refinancing and home purchases, SBA Paycheck Protection Loans for business customers or payment deferral options.
Our lending team has been hard at work processing 100% of all SBA Paycheck Protection Loans. During a time when some banks have stopped processing applications, Waldo State Bank continues to process for our customers while funds are available. Each customer matters at Waldo State Bank, and we recognize these loans will help ensure a stable future for our community, we thoroughly assess each application, helping customers navigate the process. Since the beginning of these programs, we have closed over 50 loans for a total of approximately $2,400,000. Together we will strengthen our community and come out stronger on the other side.
Our entire team is still here to answer your questions as well, via phone, emails or appointment. Appointments are available while maintaining social distancing, and we continue to be diligent in following extra sanitation measures to keep you and our team safe.
At Waldo State Bank, we are truly a part of our community, and we consider our work to extend much further than just banking. Over the past few weeks, we have converted our Little Free Library to a Little Free Food Pantry. If you should need food, please help yourself as we are restocking it daily. For those at risk but still in need of a good meal, we have also partnered with Meals on Wheels and Adell Senior Center to provide meals to those in need.
We consider it a privilege to serve this community, and we are here for you in these unprecedented times. If you have suggestions about how we can better serve you, please give me a call.
Stay healthy and safe, and we look forward to seeing your smiling faces soon!
