Scotch-A-Roos

This recipe shows up at every family function and as you can tell from the picture, it is definitely loved and made often.  

  • 1/2 c Sugar
  • 1/2 c White Karo Syrup
  • 3/4 c Peanut Butter
  • 3 c Rice Krispies
  • 1/2 c Chocolate Chips
  • 1/2 c Butterscotch Chips
  1. Butter or Spray 8 x 8 pan (double recipe for 9 x 13)
  2. Mix Sugars and Syrup together in saucepan
  3. Stir over low hear until sugar is dissolved
  4. Remove from heat
  5. Add in Peanut Butter
  6. Stir until well blended
  7. Add in Rice Krispies
  8. Mix gently but firmly
  9. Put in the pan - press into place
  10. Place Chips in microwave safe container
  11. Heat 1 minute, remove, stir, repeat until melted
  12. Pour over the bars and spread evenly
