April was full of different events with it being Community Banking Month, Financial Literacy Month, Power of Community Week, and Teach Children to Save Day! Waldo State Bank participated in every way possible and not only got involved in the community, but collected a lot of items for local organizations.

Here's the full list:

  • Community Shred Event - Our community filled 2 shred bins to the brim, totaling 500 POUNDS of paper!
  • Power of Community Drives! - We collected 261 items between our 2 organizations (Humane Society of Sheboygan County and Sleep in Heavenly Peace)
    • 233 cans of food / toys for the Humane Society and 28 bedding items for Sleep in Heavenly Peace
  • Rock, Brock, and the Savings Shock - We had 2 WSB team members go to a local school and read this year's Wisconsin Bankers Association book all about savings your money!
    • The 2 classrooms combined were 45 kids!
  • Volunteering - we also had a couple team members participate in volunteering through local events

Lastly, Waldo State Bank was awarded the Community Hero Award from the Plymouth Fire Department at their Chicken BBQ Dinner!

It was a very successful April and we could not have done it without our amazing community!
